Planning a wedding: begin with what matters

A day is not remembered by the number of boxes you ticked.

First decide how you want to spend the day and with whom. Then choose an approximate date, venue and size. Those three decisions will shape many of the others.

Reach out early to the people whose presence matters — venue, photographer, music and planner. A conversation is more useful than comparing service lists without context.

When you make the timeline, allow for the transitions, not only the ceremonies. They hold hugs, fleeting meetings and the small moments that may become the dearest years later.

Let’s talk

Your day has a rhythm of its own.

Tell me when and where it will happen. I will let you know if I am available and how we can tell it in photographs.
